About BuildTech Mandalay 2017

The construction sector in Myanmar is progressing rapidly with increased construction development taking place in Yangon and Mandalay. Foreign direct investment and the increase in the state’s budget to education, health and development coupled with an upward swing in infrastructure development projects by state and regional governments have placed Mandalay as the next burgeoning state in the Golden Land. With its economy being boosted by increasing tourism and a growing number of direct international flights, Mandalay is the economic and transportation centre of upper Myanmar today. Mandalay is also an industrial hub with its industrial zones housing over 1,100 factories, with most of the companies involved in the production of heavy machinery. The Myanmar construction industry is expected to record a CAGR of 11.94% over the forecast period of 2014 - 2018.*

The inaugural edition of BuildTech Mandalay 2017 takes place in February at Mandalay City Hall to further serve construction development in Myanmar with a focus on infrastructure, transportation, manufacturing, trading as well as residential and commercial buildings.

Organised by Sphere Exhibits, BuildTech Mandalay 2017 is the only focused trade exhibition that showcases groundbreaking technologies and products to address the thriving needs of the building and construction industry in Myanmar. It is a three day event for companies to upgrade and grasp relevant skills to remain competitive and abreast with rapid economic growth in Mandalay.
